We are working on the combat system first. We fleshed out the concept and started building the alpha to build the alpha to make sure the mechanics are fun and entertaining. We want combat to include traditional fighting as well as dialogue options, drawing inspiration from games like Curse of Monkey Island (insult attack system) and Renowned Explorers: International Society. After much discussion we decided that a funny and satirical office crawler would be fun, sort of a Darkest Dungeon meets Office Space. We enjoyed the project so much we decided to create a follow-on game. We built Depths of Dagon as part of a game jam and want to create another, slightly more involved game.įuture Platforms: Linux, Mac (assuming project does well)Ī three person team, two developers and an artist, created Depths of Dagon as part of a game jam.
